I actually won a fantasy football matchup last week, and my team’s points are trending upward. LIFE IS GREAT SUCCESS!
Some of the rankings this week ended up being never-ending decimals, so the power ranking column looks a little weird, but I have transcribed the list below.
Literally Literate FFL Week 4 Power Rankings
(1) Knile You were Sleeping 158.4
(2) The Fellowship of Samwise 125.46
(3) The Blair Walsh Project 120.07
(4) Trophy Wife 115.07
(5) Megatron and Crawptimus Prime 114.33
(6) Team Reese 115
(7) Ertz, Donut? 108.67
(8) I Pitta the Fool 92.33
(9) Leather and Lacy 82.8
(10) Rafi Bomb! 81.4
So far, the teams that drafted first are at the back of the pack while if a team drafted later on, they are fairing much better. Draft positions 5; 7; 8; 9; and 10 have all moved up on the leader board while 1; 2; 3; 4; and 6 have all fallen in the power ranks. I think a lot of this has to do with the scarcity at running back this year. Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte, and Eddie Lacy were all drafted in the first round in our ten-team league, and they have all failed to produce thus far. Corresponding late second-round picks like Doug Martin, A.J. Green, and Arian Foster have also suffered from injuries early on in the year.
I’ve thoroughly accepted the loss of Adrian Peterson, but I haven’t dropped him just yet.
I’m waiting to see what comes of the court case in October, although I fear that the one year I got the first overall pick, it was wasted. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but thankfully I had some luck in picking up Ahmad Bradshaw and Darren Sproles, who have saved my neck so far. This week’s Thursday night matchup is between the Washington Football Team and the New York Giants, and I have Niles Paul, a Jordan Cameron fill in, playing. With six teams on bye this week, all of the teams are facing tough choices. But it looks like, if you drafted later rather than earlier, you are getting better value for your early rounds in the draft.
Here’s a look at the Week 4 matchups starting tonight:
